Annual Mac-A-Thon Foot Race

April 7, 2012

Hawai’i Island’s oldest foot race, Keoua Honaunau Canoe Club’s “Mac-A-Thon,” takes place annually the day before Easter. The race start is at 7:00 a.m. The Mac-A-Thon offers distances of 5K or 10K on the old government road that extends from the sacred waters of Honaunau Bay to Napo’opo’o. Each race course is the same, except that the 5K turn-around is halfway into the 10K course. An award ceremony, our famous Mac-Nut Pancake Breakfast (included with entry fee), entertainment, a silent auction, and lots of fun await you and your family at the finish line. Entry fees are $20/$30/$40 adults; $10 Juniors. For more information, call 808-345-2844, email reinerhawaii@aol.comor visit
